The purpose of this session is to help participants adapt their dyslexia remediation curriculum and instructional delivery to best meet the needs of students that require specially designed instruction. Participants will learn how to utilize students’ full and individual evaluation (FIE) to identify what areas of the dyslexia program need to be adapted and how to best do so.

Now more than ever before, we will have an increased number of students being identified for dyslexia through special education in Texas and who may require specially designed dyslexia instruction. The time is now to make necessary adjustments, when necessary, to dyslexia programming to ensure it is aligned to individual student needs so that all students, regardless of which umbrella they qualify in, experience success with basic reading skills!
